Presenter: Rhian Locke (Principal Consultant) – Temple Group
Time / Date: 12.00 – 13.00, 30th June
Description:
At this event Temple’s Rhian Locke, previously EMS Manager at Crossrail, will run through why sustainability is important and what sustainability looks like on major projects, using projects such as Crossrail and HS2 as case studies. Over the past few years there’s been impressive sustainability successes for major infrastructure projects in the UK, which are now being passed onto the next wave of projects. Crossrail is passing on lessons learnt to the wider industry via their Crossrail legacy initiative. However, sustainability is often neglected by other organisations working within the rail sector, despite the fact that there’s countless benefits to implementing sustainable practices, not least that it makes business sense (as described in Rhian’s Ciria blog, please find here). The workshop will also cover what the next steps are for sustainable infrastructure and conclude with Temple project examples.
In order to register please contact marketing@templegroup.co.uk. Please be aware that there are limited spaces and that the first spaces will be offered to young professionals.
