Those working within the Rail industry will regularly hear of the mystical art called Lean Six Sigma. Have you ever wondered what it’s about and if it has ever been used to make a difference?
Lean Six Sigma is a well-respected approach for improving and sustaining efficiency and productivity. It is driven by a close understanding of the customer’s needs, disciplined use of facts, analysis of date and using that analysis to make informed decisions.
Shiv Nanda is currently working in a Route Section Delivery Manager role with WSP|Parsons Brinckerhoff’s Efficiency & Reform Team. He received his Black Belt from Rolls Royce Industrial Power Group / VATECH in 2003 and has since then been applying the process improvement techniques in various industries such as Rail, Power, IT and Manufacturing and Maintenance, and most recently on the Great Western Electrification Project as part of the Lead Design Organisation.
This talk with focus on what Lean Six Sigma is and how it can add value.
