Railweek: London Tram Depot Day. Thursday 10^th October 2019

AM session 09:30hrs to 12:30hrs

PM session 13:30hrs to 16:30hrs

5 actives x 30 minute activities, maximum 10 students in each group (50 students per session).

1. Fleet Tour and Talk.
2. A discussion with our fleet team, on how to keep the tram moving. With the opportunity to see what’s on top and under a tram.
3. Infrastructure TalkP-way (Track)Systems (Signals and controls)
4. Civils (Structures)
5. OLE (Power)
6. A discussion about the different areas in which infrastructure is involved, including a demonstration on the workings of points).
7. Control Room Tour and Demonstration
8. An opportunity to see how the network is controlled and what we have in place to monitor what’s happening.
9. Tram Simulator: A drivers view.
10. How we are using new technology to train drivers and test new modifications
11. What’s the Job:
12. Please note that free travel to the depot via the tram can be arranged.
13. A talk about the different ways to enter industry and the range of jobs that keeps public transport moving.
