Get an insight into the various exciting roles that make up a busy station team, through a behind the scenes tour of Bristol Temple Meads. The tour will include visiting some of the operational parts of the station not usually seen by the travelling public and a very rare tour of the tunnels underneath the station – showcasing how stations of old were built, and the future possibilities for development of such an important station in the South West.
This event is ideal for young people considering a career in rail, particularly within stations or customer service roles, or those existing railway professionals wishing to expand their knowledge of the stations function and how it interacts with the wider industry.
Note: To partake in the tunnel tour you will need to be wearing sturdy footwear and warm clothing. Please also bring a torch if you have one. This part of the tour is not suitable for those suffering from claustrophobia or a fear of darkness or those aged under 16. Please bring a form of photographic ID with you when you attend this event.
To book your slot; use the following link to register. We give preference to those that don’t currently work for the industry so you’re booking will be confirmed nearer the time.
